Residency rules for applicable voters and acceptable votes to be counted,

18 years of age or older

Canadian resident

*Permanent Resident of the municipality on election day

ID Requirements: If an individual is eligible to vote (based on the above) but their address doesn’t show the municipality, then they need an elector (Alex or one of the volunteers) to vouch for them.

Or has a supporting document (utility bill, lease agreement) with their name and address stating in the municipality.

If a person owns a home in Lomond but doesn’t live there (they’re main residence is somewhere else) then they are not a permanent resident.

However, someone can come in on election day and say that they now live in the Village – we can’t argue. They’ll have to have someone vouch for them and fill out Form 13.
